Cruxifusion

Cruxifusion

The name Cruxifusion is confusing the first time you hear it. I explain its meaning in this podcast so I won’t say anything more. Paul’s words of encouragement to the Philippian church are less confusing. I share some of his thoughts as found in Philippians chapter 2.

The Fish Fry

The-Fish-Fry

I make the statement in this Podcast that “everyone loves a fish fry”. That may be overstating it somewhat. Service groups tend to love a fish fry as a means of raising funds for worthwhile causes. Something else that the virus has curtailed.
Here’s hoping I can share some words of encouragement around a fish fry that Jesus sponsored for a worthwhile cause.

Easter Sunday

Easter-Sunday

There’s much that can be shared about that Resurrection morning.
In this podcast I touch on the significant roll of women, John’s insight into the folded grave clothes and Jesus concern for his followers who are dealing with such angst.
Unlike previous podcasts that have been recorded from my home office, this is a recording of my reflection from our Sunday service on Easter morning.

It Is I

Jesus told a group of frightened weary sailors in a boat fighting a fierce wind to stay calm with the words “Take courage, it is I, don’t be afraid”. As we move into our second year dealing with a virus that seems to have no let up, perhaps it’s good for us to hear those words and take comfort as we ride out the storm together.

It’s All About Love

Its-All-About-Love

It’s Valentines Day. The day focussed on love, along with chocolates, cards, flowers and all kinds of other gifts. It’s also a day to remind us that God is love and loves all of us with a love that has no limit. So love on and take the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13 as a guide should you need some further direction.

A Time for Everything

A-Time-for-Everything

The book of Ecclesiastes has been a book engendering much debate over the years. It’s also been the source of two significant and successful pop songs. One in particular riffs off of Solomon’s musings about there being a time for everything in due time. You can find it in Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8.Worthy of our contemplation.
